Strap LOXX

Strap locks are an indispensable investment for any guitar. There’s nothing worse than having your strap twist free, and your guitar drop to the ground.

On my Les Pauls, I used the Dunlop Dual Design strap locks. They worked fine for a Les Paul, as they attached on the guitar horn, rather than on the back of the guitar.  But on my new SG, I needed something different.

Low Profile Strap LoxxSince the neck-side strap button is on the back of the SG instead of on the horn, the strap lock needs to be very low profile, so it doesn’t dig into my ribs.

These LOXX #13605 strap locks are just the thing. Honestly, I wish I had found these sooner, and installed them on all my guitars.

They’re much nicer than the Dunlops, and way lower profile. Take a look at these comparison photos. The Dunlops stick out by 1 1/8”, while the LOXX stick out by less than 3/4”.

The LOXX are easy to attach and remove- they simply press on, clicking into place.  And to remove them, you pull on the spring-loaded button and it comes right off. Time will tell if this release mechanism is too easy to accidentally pop off!

Update March 2017: just following up to say I’ve never had a single case of my strap incorrectly releasing and falling off.  These strap LOXX are golden!
