Dear SCOPE community,

Sonic Core is happy to announce our new DSP hardware SCOPE XITE-1
which we will present at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt (12.-15.03.08,
Hall 5.1 booth D10). The new system is based on the SCOPE technology.

The main features are:

- 10 x more DSP power than before
- External PCIe / ExpressCard for PC / MAC / Notebooks
- Compatible to the SCOPE Fusion Platform

You can find more info on www.soniccore.de

We would like to thank you as a part of the amazing worldwide
SCOPE community for carrying on with the idea of SCOPE and
supporting our team to make the development of the new system happen.

My respect and my best regards
Holger

Sounds great. Been wanting to use my system on a laptop for years.

Couple of questions?

Can you expand the io some how if you need more adat for example? Can you use older pulsar or scope products for this?

What is xtdm? Is is compatable with stdm?

OF course the big question, how much will it cost??

yes, that's an interesting question. I did not see an expansion slot, but then, then pics are no hi-res...

I assume it is the successor to stdm, and only for use with the X series. maybe this is even used for hooking up another I/O box. I wonder if the A16U units are prepared to be equipped with such an interface...

well, according to their website the introductory price is 3.2 K

-greetings, markus-

EDIT: and, yes, I almost overread it...

"Planned to be released at the same time, the latest SCOPE software (Version 5) is intended to be available for Windows Vista, Windows XP and also Mac OS X."

the german text does not contain that restrictive passage about the release date, btw. if I understand it correctly, the hardware unit is planned to be sold from 2008-05, and if scope5 is released at the same time, we'll have to wait, still...

EDIT 2:

hmm. no Z-Link port means you cannot hook an A16U to it...

Holy f**king cow, Batman! Great news. i'll wait for the cheaper version though. So is this like having 140 old Sharcs :o . Nice to see AES still supported too.

The X stands for 'External' - it is an external TDM connection, to chain additional XITE racks together.

that limits it to the new XITE series (as I assumed).
it does not (yet) tells us anything about the possibility of introducing more I/O capacity then just a bunch of XITE units, since the announced XITE-1 is probably just the cap of the iceberg.
maybe other XITE units will have more (and/or) different I/O capabilities, in future.

please feel free to confirm anything you know already :)

-greetings, markus-

unbelievable!!!

but I know already before that this little group will rock!

this is XITEING!

This will be simply the BEST audioplatform available on the market.

superior in quality and sheer power!
thats like 140dsps, am I wrong?

I really wonder how they did make this compatible with the old platform stuff.

Now I need to talk to my credit bank. :D

Yeah, the really absolute amazing thing is the compatibility to scope... If that really means, that I can use my own devices on it, 3200€ isn't too much. It's absolutely cheap. That keeps all the value of the old platform and multiplies with 10. That's really unbeatable & unbelievable. No, I can't believe that... Oh, my god, say that this is a dream...

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But still I can't believe it... really COMPATIBLE!?

I bet at least the prices for 3dr party will raise enormously. So a basic version which has to be equiped with dynatube & co. will cost a lot more...

Martin

My personal bet: Could this maybe be a cooperation between India & germany again? Is it a 19" solaris? Wow. It is simply amazing.

Hi,
I can say:
(1) it is not a cooperation between inDSP and Sonic Core - only Sonic Core created this!
(2), it is not a Solaris in a rack.

cheers,
john b.

if it is truly compatible to the existing plugins (including your solaris plugin) it is a solaris in a rack. or can be made one, at least :)

I am testing it now using the Solaris v5 plug-in, so....OK, you got me there! (All you'll be missing are the knobs and displays and new special filter and oscillator algorithms, of course!)
